Sigh. All of our travel plans sure did fly out the window this year. Spring break in Miami? Nope. Birthday in New York City? Double nope. Thanksgiving at Grandma’s? Definitely not. While we won’t be making grand travel plans this year, we will be daydreaming about future trips. Have some fun with us and read on for the cities we can’t wait to visit post quarantine. 1. Las Vegas, Nevada

Sunday Fundays by the pool, massages at the MGM Grand Spa, watching the fountains dance at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino, sipping a cocktail at The Chandelier inside the Cosmopolitan, Wheel of Fortune slots, year-round Oktoberfest at the Hofbrauhaus, the incredible Penn & Teller magic show, screaming your lungs out on a ride on top of the Strat, eating Kimchi Fried Rice at Roy Choi’s restaurant – Best Friend, ziplining down Freemont Street, driving a bulldozer at Dig This… sigh, we miss you, Las Vegas.

2. Los Angeles, California

Thrifting at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, gasping at the city views from the Griffith Park Observatory, taking a tram tour (and visiting the prop room!) on the Warner Brothers lot, peopling-watching at the Original Farmer’s Market at the Grove, more people-watching at Venice Beach, visiting Mickey at Disneyland in nearby Anaheim, outdoor movies at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, Micheladas (and okay, baseball) at Dodger Stadium, alllll the food at Bar Amá and date nights at Grand Central Market… sigh, we’ll hopefully see you next year, LA.

3. New Orleans, Louisiana

Beignets and Cafe Au Lait’s at Cafe Du Monde, trolley rides, Jazz Fest, ghost tours in the French Quarter, oysters on Magazine Street, live music on Frenchmen, late nights on Bourbon, gazing at homes in the Garden District… sigh, we can’t wait to go back to the Big Easy.

4. New York, New York

Apple cider donuts in Union Square, strolling through Central Park in the Fall, broadway shows in Times Square, walking along the High Line and across the Brooklyn Bridge, visiting the MOMA (and their gift shop!), ice skating under the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center… sigh, all things we hope to experience next year!

5. San Francisco, California

Oysters and white wine on the patio of Hog Island Oyster Co., cold brews and waffles to-go at Blue Bottle Company and blue cheese from Cowgirl Creamery at the Ferry Building, margaritas and tacos at Tacolicious, new ink at Black & Blue Tattoos, pizza at Delfina, embracing your inner child at the Exploratorium, hiking the Presidio Trail on the way to sandwiches from the GrilledCheezGuy, mimosas and yard games at the Presidio Picnic… we love you, San Francisco.

6. Seattle, Washington

Catching a fish at Pike Place Market, taking sailing lessons on the Puget Sound, riding the elevator up to the top of the Space Needle, houseboat rentals, sipping coffee cocktails at the Starbucks Reserve Roastery, underground tours in Pioneer Square… Seattle, we’re looking forward to seeing you again.

7. Solvang, California

Wine and cheese tastings at Dascomb Cellars, wine and olive tastings at Twenty Mile Winery, Aebleskivers from the walk-up window at Solvang Restaurant, crystal shopping at the Mystic Merchant, guitar pick signing, photo props and more wine at Cali Love Wine, yes, more wine at Sevtap, not drinking Merlot at the nearby Hitching Post in Buelton, brats at the Copenhagen Sausage Garden, Danish Days at Solvang Park… Solvang, you are the CUTEST town ever.
